The Bundesliga schedule for Borussia Dortmund for matchdays 5 to 11 has been released, featuring two major top-of-the-table clashes. The dates for the encounters with Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Bayern Munich have been detailed.

The first big test comes on Saturday, 24 October, with the home game against Eintracht Frankfurt at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Just one week later, on 31 October, follows the away fixture at record champions Bayern Munich. These two matches within seven days will provide an early season assessment for the Black and Yellows. Currently, BVB sits in third place with six points from two games.

After the clash in Munich, further challenging tasks await. On 7 November, Dortmund hosts newly-promoted SV Elversberg. The away match at Borussia Mönchengladbach follows on 21 November. This phase concludes with the home game against Bayer Leverkusen on 29 November at 7:30 p.m. All these dates can be viewed on our fixtures page.

Running parallel to the league is the DFB-Pokal. Here, Borussia Dortmund has a home match against SV Werder Bremen on Tuesday, 27 October, at 8:45 p.m. This creates a demanding double burden of cup and league in the last week of October. Before this intense period, however, the next competitive match is first: On 12 September, BVB hosts SC Paderborn 07, who currently sit in 12th place.
