Borussia Dortmund maintained its flawless start to the Bundesliga season with a 3-0 victory at newly-promoted SC Paderborn 07 on Saturday morning. The win keeps BVB level on six points with SC Freiburg at the top of the early table.

A Commanding Start

Edin Terzic's side delivered another assured performance in the second matchday. Serhou Guirassy saw two first-half goals ruled out for offside and was denied by the Paderborn goalkeeper after the break. The striker eventually provided the key contribution, however, setting up Fábio Silva to open the scoring in the 5th minute. Guirassy has now been involved in three goals this season, scoring twice and providing this assist in three appearances. The result was sealed late by a Felix Nmecha double. The midfielder struck in the 80th minute from a Maximilian Beier pass and again just before full-time following a Marcel Sabitzer assist for the 3-0 final score.

Tight at the Top

While Dortmund and Freiburg lead the way with two wins from two, previous leaders FC Augsburg were held to a late equaliser by Bayer Leverkusen. TSG Hoffenheim, meanwhile, finally secured three points after losing winning positions in their first two games. A glance at the standings confirms Borussia Dortmund's position in second place with nine points from three matches.
