Borussia Dortmund: The second season of the Man of the Match Voting starts with an upgrade by adidas. Fans can now vote in every game, which player wins the prize. The vote also takes place at the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. The first award will be given on the next Saturday at the Supercup between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München.
How does the vote work?
In all Bundesliga games of the season, fans can vote for their favorite player in the official Bundesliga app. The vote starts as usual in the 86th minute of each match and ends with the final whistle – then the official Man of the Match is determined.
Who stands as Man of the Match for the vote?
Based on the official game data, six players are always up for the vote, who have particularly impressed with their performance. Who ultimately prevails, is decided solely by the fans.
New: adidas presents the Man of the Match Award
For the new season, the voting receives a special upgrade: Bundesliga partner adidas will present the vote, and each winner will receive a unique Man of the Match trophy, which he will receive immediately after the final whistle.
