Borussia Dortmund may let go of Yan Couto this summer. The Brazilian has an interesting option for a transfer to Italy. The BVB could face a costly disappointment. Yan Couto has had a tough time this year, barely featuring for the team. Transfer expert Matteo Moretto reports that Como is currently scouting Couto. The Serie A side, which qualified for the Champions League for the first time, is reportedly already in talks with the Brazilian. Since Couto failed to establish himself at the BVB in his two years in Dortmund, the club may be willing to let him go. In 2024, the BVB loaned Couto from Manchester City, and a year later, the club had to pay a total of 25 million euros in transfer fees. Couto had a particularly tough time in 2026, featuring only four times in the starting lineup, lastly in February when the BVB lost 2-3 to Bayern Munich. Since then, Kovac has only given him 41 minutes of playing time. Since Couto's contract still runs until 2030, Dortmund will likely demand at least the same transfer fee that they paid for Couto. Como, which has become more interesting due to its qualification for the top league, will have to stretch itself if it is indeed interested in Couto.
