Dortmund's sports director Lars Ricken has not ruled out further investments in the current transfer period, but has announced that the costs for the current squad will be reduced slightly. "We will make savings at one or the other place, especially in terms of squad costs", Ricken explained in an interview with the Ruhr Nachrichten. "The advantage is: If we achieve savings there, it gives us a financial leeway. So we can react in the end and make an additional swap deal, which we originally did not expect."
