Borussia Dortmund's players and their families celebrated a day together. The team event took place at the Jägerheim restaurant. BILD shows exclusive pictures.

What happened?

Only a day after the 2:2 draw in the last test match against AS Rom, the Borussia Dortmund team met for an internal team event on Sunday. The location of the black-and-yellow meeting was the Jägerheim restaurant in the southern part of Dortmund. Not only the professionals and those responsible were there, but also their partners and families were explicitly invited.

Why it matters

The BVB is focusing on unity – also off the pitch. Before the start of the official season, the team should not only grow together on the pitch, but also off the pitch. The BVB is focusing on unity – and deliberately included the families of the players in the team.

What comes next?

After the training on Sunday morning, the BVB stars arrived at the restaurant one by one. Among them were captain Emre Can, Gregor Kobel, Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, Serhou Guirassy, Maximilian Beier, Daniel Svensson, Ramy Bensebaini, and Felix Nmecha. Even coach Niko Kovac and the bosses Lars Ricken and Ole Book did not miss the joint meeting.

The menu

A special menu was prepared for the BVB stars. On it were Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and cranberries, beef fillet with herb butter and salad, and tagliarini with fresh truffles. For dessert, there were warm chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and tiramisu. The BVB logo was, of course, also on the menu.

Marcel Sabitzer says goodbye early

Notable: Marcel Sabitzer said goodbye already shortly after his arrival. For the rest of the BVB team, there were still a few relaxed hours together on the program. A day earlier, Dortmund had won 2:2 against AS Rom after an early 0:2 through the goals of Julian Ryerson and Serhou Guirassy.

Now it's serious

Now it's serious for the BVB. Before the start of the official season, the stars had one more time for team, partners, and families – without football stress. Borussia Dortmund is currently in second place in the Bundesliga with 73 points. The team won 22 games, drew 7, and lost 5 in the last season. In the new season, the BVB stars have already scored 70 goals and conceded 34. The BVB is 16 points behind the leaders Bayern Munich. The next match is on November 21 against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Nico Schlotterbeck is currently injured.
