Just before the start of the World Cup in Canada, the USA and Mexico, transfer speculation is flaring up again around Borussia Dortmund's stars. In the spotlight, among others, is BVB assist king Julian Ryerson. The Norwegian, who scored 18 assists in 42 games in the just-ended season, is in the spotlight for the end round, according to the WAZ. The regional newspaper reports that the BVB does not plan to let Ryerson go this summer. However, if a lucrative offer, for example from the English Premier League, comes in, a transfer cannot be ruled out. Ryerson's market value is estimated at 25 million euros, with Manchester United again mentioned as a possible buyer. The problem for the BVB is that as long as Ryerson's future is unclear, the German vice-champion cannot afford to sell millions flop Yan Couto. The 24-year-old Brazilian, who cost Manchester City a total of 25 million euros in a loan-to-buy deal in 2025, would be an alternative on Ryerson's right flank if he were to move to another club. The WAZ believes the BVB is in a "Zwickmühle" in this case. Couto, who was last traded by Serie A representative Como 1907, is stuck in a "waiting loop". Meanwhile, two other possible departures are emerging at the BVB: Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi. Guirassy's future decision is likely to be made after the World Cup, according to Sky. Internally, the BVB is preparing for a transfer and is reportedly taking a closer look at Fisnik Asllani (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) as a potential successor. Adeyemi's contract expires in 2027, and negotiations for an extension are currently on ice. Only this summer, the BVB may still collect a lucrative transfer fee.
