Who is Nils-Ole Book?
Nils-Ole Book is a 40-year-old football executive who was most recently the sporting director at SV Elversberg. He led the Saarland-based club from the regional league to the top group of the 2nd Bundesliga.
Why was Book appointed?
Lars Ricken, the sporting director of Borussia Dortmund, said: «I have been following his excellent work in Elversberg for a long time and am absolutely convinced that Ole fits in very well with us both professionally and personally».
What are Book's goals?
Book will lead Borussia Dortmund until 2029 and has already set his first goals. One of the most important tasks will be to extend the contract with national player Nico Schlotterbeck.
